These three-panel timber bi-fold doors were made and fitted by Collins & Hall within a wide stone opening. The folding arrangement allows the leaves to stack together when open, while the individual panels create a regular rhythm when the doors are closed.
A bi-fold design needs to balance the desired opening with panel size, weight, sightlines and stacking space. The everyday access leaf, threshold, weathering, glazing and hardware must also work as part of the complete system. Bespoke manufacture lets us plan those details around the property and how the opening will be used.
