This boarded timber front door was made and fitted by Collins & Hall for a traditional stone property. Vertical boards give the entrance a simple, robust character, while the small glazed panel brings light inside without dominating the design.
The letter plate, ring knocker, handle and other hardware form part of the overall composition. Making the wooden door and frame together allows their size, proportions, threshold, weathering, glazing, hardware and finish to be developed for the particular opening.
