Timber flush casement windows

A flush casement window has opening sashes that sit within—and level with—the face of the outer frame when closed. The resulting lines are neat and understated, making this style a natural choice for many period properties and for new work where traditional proportions are wanted.

Every Collins & Hall flush casement window is made to measure. We can reproduce the scale and detailing of existing wooden windows or develop new proportions for the building. Glazing bars, mouldings, frame profiles, opening configurations, hardware and colour are all considered as part of the design.

Period, listed and conservation work

Small differences in section sizes and detailing can materially affect the appearance of a traditional window. We can survey existing joinery, prepare drawings and supporting information, and manage Listed Building Consent applications where required. Approval rests with the local authority, but our experience helps us present the work clearly and respond constructively to conservation requirements.

Made and finished in our workshop

Most of our flush casement windows are made from Accoya timber and fitted with Low-E double glazing. They are normally spray-finished in our own workshop using Teknos coatings, with colour matching and dual-colour options available. Hardware is chosen to suit the design, security requirements and appearance of the property.
